The in-person location will be at Discovery United Methodist Church in Chanhassen. We strongly recommend you only attend in person if you’re fully vaccinated. Please bring drinks and/or snacks to share!

Our theme this month, chosen purely at random from my Jar-O-Themes, is Mathemagic! Magic that is based on mathematical principles, including topology and geometry. Could be number tricks, mathematical card tricks, or even knot magic!
As always, be prepared to demonstrate and teach if possible, and provide guidance and suggestions for others.

The in-person location will be at Eagle Magic in Burnsville, MN. (It’s 4 lights east of 35W on Hwy 13, southeast corner, next door to the BP gas station.) We strongly recommend you only attend in person if you’re fully vaccinated. Bring potluck snacks to share.

It’s time for our rescheduled Holiday Party! It will be held during our usual 3rd Friday of the month,
on Friday, February 18th at 7:00 PM.
We’ll be meeting at the Discovery Methodist Church in Chanhassen, and there will be chili, salad, cornbread, and dessert! Special thanks to Sandy Meyer for doing all of the cooking, and arranging the location, too!
Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage.
Due to COVID numbers, masks are required for non-vaccinated and desired for all, except when eating.
Our theme for this month’s meeting, chosen by the attendees at the December meeting, is Magic with Handkerchiefs (silk or otherwise). Be prepared to teach if you can, and provide feedback and guidance.
We’ll also be setting up the Zoom camera setup in case anyone wants to attend virtually — although technology hasn’t advanced enough for virtual chili eating….. We’ll send out connection information prior to the event.

Since an in-person meeting didn’t work out last week, several folks have asked about having a virtual meeting on our usual night. So, we’re having a Last Minute Virtual January Assembly Meeting! The meeting will be Friday, January 21st at 7:00. Connection info will be sent out via email very soon.
The last-minute theme for this last-minute virtual meeting is “Magical Potpourri“. In other words, it’s your choice! Show something you’re working on, or one of your favorites, or an old effect you haven’t performed in a while, or…anything you want!
