January Virtual Assembly Meeting!

Since an in-person meeting didn’t work out last week, several folks have asked about having a virtual meeting on our usual night. So, we’re having a Last Minute Virtual January Assembly Meeting! The meeting will be Friday, January 21st at 7:00. Connection info will be sent out via email very soon.

The last-minute theme for this last-minute virtual meeting is “Magical Potpourri“. In other words, it’s your choice! Show something you’re working on, or one of your favorites, or an old effect you haven’t performed in a while, or…anything you want!

Be prepared to demonstrate and teach if possible, and provide guidance and suggestions for others.

As in past virtual meetings, there will be time for the usual updates, stories, performances, and Show and Tell.

Let me know if you have any connection questions or other agenda ideas.

POSTPONED!! SAM12 January Assembly Meeting and Holiday Party!

We’ve decided to postpone the January Meeting and Holiday Party until next month (February) due to weather and member availability. As soon as we get the details for the rescheduled meeting we’ll post it here and on Facebook
Sorry!!

Happy New Year! January’s meeting will be a Holiday Party and will be held one week earlier than usual, on Friday, January 14th at 7:00 PM.

We’ll be meeting at the Discovery Methodist Church in Chanhassen, and there will be chili, salad, cornbread, and dessert! Special thanks to Sandy Meyer for doing all of the cooking, and arranging the location, too!

Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage.

Due to COVID numbers, masks are required for non-vaccinated and desired for all, except when eating.

Our theme for this month’s meeting, chosen by the attendees at last month’s meeting, is Magic with Handkerchiefs (silk or otherwise). Be prepared to teach if you can, and provide feedback and guidance.

We’ll also be setting up the Zoom camera setup in case anyone wants to attend virtually — although technology hasn’t advanced enough for virtual chili eating….. We’ll send out connection information the week of the event.

If you plan on attending the in-person party, please RSVP on Facebook or contact me via email!

Location address:
Discovery Methodist Church
275 Lake Drive East
Chanhassen, MN 55317

We’ll see you at the party!

Our theme this month, chosen by me from my Jar-O-Themes is Magic with Paper. This could include effects with newspaper, tissue paper, paper money, etc.

SAM 12 July “Hybrid” Assembly Meeting!

We’re going to try another “hybrid” SAM Assembly 12 meeting this Friday, July 16th, at 7:00 p.m.

Connection information for the virtual view of the meeting will be sent later this week. For now, we’ll use the same setup as last time as it seemed to work.

Since we didn’t talk about a theme at our last meeting, let’s do this: Think about one of the previous themes we’ve had and do something you were thinking about doing but didn’t or thought up later after the meeting. (If you need help remembering the earlier themes, look back through previous events).
